12 hours of darkness
From PsWiki
A cross country mountain bike race that lasts for 12 hours, starting at 8pm. Most of the riding is done in the dark on singletrack, hence the name "12 hours of darkness". The aim is to do as many laps of the track as possible in the 12 hours. The official website is availble at 12darkhours.com
25 February 2006
The inaugural race was held at Penrose State forest in the Southern Highlands on Saturday, 25 February 2006. There were about 100 racers, the event was really low key and it was just awesone. A great time was had by all. This just happened to be the first mountain biking race I have ever entered, and I can tell you I enjoyed it so much it is not going to be the last!
I took my GPS with me and have a track file avaiable for download here. Just open the file using Google Earth to see the the exact location of the track used for the event.
